Friday, October 26

1:30 PM   Join us as Channel 11 KHOU Emmy winning Deborah Duncan films her show Great Day Houston at our host hotel.  Arrive by 1:15 to greet the other audience members as the crew sets up for filming.

Featured on the show will be our keynote speaker, Mary Tedesco, of the PBS Genealogy Roadshow, and Katherine Borges, co-founder and Director of International Society of Genetic Genealogy.  Audience members will participate through a question and answer segment.  Please submit your questions to Barbara Petrov, BAPetrov@alumni.utexas.net,  by September 25 to be considered for inclusion.  The Great Day Houston producers will make the final decision.

Family Tree DNA kits will be offered to conference attendees at a reduced rate during the conference.

3:00 – 5:00 PM  Scheduled genealogical and society groups will meet.  Contact Marcy Carter-Lovick, marcymail09@gmail.com,  to schedule the meeting room for your group.  Your check for $100 payable to Texas Genealogical College reserves your meeting time.

6:30  PM – Cash bar followed by Texas Genealogical College Hall of Fame Awards dinner at 7:00 PM with featured speaker, Mary Tedesco – contact Ed Butler for Hall of Fame Award application SARPG0910@aol.com

9:00 am- 10:00 am  – Mary Tedesco’s genealogy workshop

10:15-11:15 – Katherine Borges – “Did My DNA- What Do I Do Now”

11:30 – 12:00 – Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research Workshop – “One of the Top Genealogical Libraries in the United States”

12:30 – Texas Genealogical College business meeting and lunch featuring other lineage societies registered for the conference

2:00 –  4:00 pm Scheduled genealogical and society groups meet
